We are rebuilding our community garden this fall, and we’re so excited for it to become a place where neighbors (young and old) meet to care for creation, form friendships, and serve each other (and grow yummy food!) It’s our personal belief that building the Kingdom of God means growing together, playing together, and offering up new gifts to all our neighbors. That being said, people of all beliefs and experiences are welcome to come get dirty with us and make beautiful things happen for Northeast Greensboro!
In particular, we have a few garden workdays coming up in October and November. If you think you might be able to make it to one or more (or if you just want to be added to our mailing list) please fill out this quick survey! High energy and physical strength are not required; we need all the help we can get!
Wed. October 13th, 4-7pm: We cleared out weeds and started tilling the garden to level it.
Sun. October 17th, 1-4pm: Prep fences, stain boards, & lay out landscaping fabric.
Wed. October 27th, 4-7pm: We’ll finish leveling the garden, prep fences, stain boards, lay out landscaping fabric, build garden beds and check irrigation equipment. (as much as possible!)
Sun. October 31st: We might meet to catch up if we’re behind.
Sun. November 7th, 1-4pm: We’ll fill beds with soil, gravel walkways, & finish the fence.
Sun. November 14th, 1-4pm: We might meet to catch up if we’re behind.
We’re looking to accomplish a tremendous amount of work in the next several weeks, and I can’t wait to do it together.
If you have questions, concerns, or want to know any more information, please feel free to email Anna Cox (email@example.com). Thanks! See you in the garden!
