Mission

The mission of the Church is to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ. (Book of Common Prayer p. 855). We prioritize Relationships, Seeking God in the World, and Working for Peace & Justice together as neighbors.

Health | Healing

Abundant Life Ministries is a collaborative effort to promote community level body-mind-spirit-social health. Church of the Holy Spirit offers space at our site for this Gospel work. More info on partnerships, resources, and opportunities to volunteer can be found on Abundant Life website.

Breakfast at Greensboro Urban Ministry

Every Tuesday morning for over 17 years, our team has joined other Episcopal churches to prepare and serve hot breakfasts for 160-180 residents of Weaver House shelter, friends living outside, and anyone else who is hungry.

Food Security

Our Abundant Life neighborhood pantry is a way to share food, diapers, feminine hygiene products, and toiletries. We receive donations from our neighbors, Food Not Bombs, FaithAction, and Greensboro Episcopal churches St. Francis, Holy Trinity, and St. Andrew’s.

New Neighbors

We celebrated our new neighbors at Yanceyville Place Apartments next door to the church. Our development partner Mills Construction built space in the community building for Cone Health congregational nurse.

Housing Justice

Through our partnership with Mills Construction we will build 60 apartments in our backyard, a second phase of the 84 Yanceyville Place units now home to new neighbors. Construction has started!

Creation Care

Preservation of our beautiful woods is at the heart of our care of God’s creation.
